Here I would like to provide a list of "some" of my favourite tunes, my musical tastes range from all over the styles,
and not only contemporary, even back in time there are many interesting things to listen to, and I don't mean just Western
musical tradition, but let's try to take a look at how other peoples deal with music, eastern asian folks, african breathless
rythmic music. The bottom line is that we consider music as a mere entertainment, it has lost its meaning within the society
a long ago, but somewhere else in the world it still keeps many more functions within funerals, weddings, ceremonies, prayers
and so forth. Anyway, what I'm going to write down belongs to our own world, The Western "civilization", for further information
about music belonging to some other parts of the world, I could give you some clues but you've got to ask me first:)

Dream Theater:
A definitely multi-faceted band. I guess they're within the music scene since the High School. Some of the members (
bass player, singer, drums player, guitar player) got together when attending The Barkeley College of music...guess how much
were the fees for their studies....50000Euros per year, so I suppose they didn't get started as mere street musicians
begging for money.
At a first approach, their pieces sound nearly unbearable, yielding the idea of different rythms and tunes randomly
stirred up together; but within a second approach, it appears clear how many styles they can master and enhance their
inspiration with. Jazz, Blues, Funky, Rock, Heavy Metal, Classical tunes...it's all within one band, it's all within one song.
Here's a list of their albums:
When dream and day unite 1989
Images and words 1992
Awake 1994
A change of season 1995
Falling into infinity 1997
Metropolis part II: scenes from a memory. 1999
Six degrees of inner turbulence. 2002
As you've noticed, many years have gone by among their albums, they worked on them very hard, and I didn't not even mention
their Live albums. They even shot few videos, not for the main public, those videos are based upon their music, rather than
how they look. Their style has been named as "Progressive Rock", basically influenced by Toto and Genesis.

Loreena McKennitt. A canadian harp player as well as vocalist. She's fascinated by the Keltic culture,
ancient instruments, popular melodies from past centuries. She's been recording albums until 1998, when she gave it up because
of her boyfriend drowning occurred in the Ontario Lake. She picked up many poems from Yeats, Blake, Shakespeare, providing
a musical background and reinterpretations. She picked up old melodies enriching them with her particular voice, with unusual
instruments as Harp, Fiddle, Balalaika, Kantele, Machete, and many more. Here's the list of her albums:
Elemental, 1985
To drive the cold Winter away, 1987
Parallel Dreams, 1989
The visit, 1991
The mask and the mirror, 1994
